New Music Dublin eXchange (NMDx)
Date: Delegate Exchange Sessions Throughout NMD 2024
Venue: IMRO (Irish Music Rights Organisation), Baggot Street Lower, D2 | by invitation
Currently in its sixth year, New Music Dublin eXchange (NMDX) is CMC’s international exchange programme embedded in the New Music Dublin festival, to which representatives of some of the most significant international contemporary music festivals, venues, programmers, promoters and broadcasters are invited.
New Music Dublin eXchange aims to expand the reach of contemporary music from Ireland through programming in venues and festivals both at home and abroad, as well as through international and online broadcasts. Building on the past four years’ activities, NMDX 2024 will capitalise on the opportunity provided by the festival to showcase the work of composers, sound artists and performers active in contemporary music in Ireland to a delegation of strategically selected international and national programmers and broadcasters.
Delegates will have the opportunity to create many new connections and build on existing relationships through their participation in exchange sessions and informal mixers, attendance at a range of concerts and curated showcase performances, and an industry-focused panel on the international export of contemporary music.
Hosted by The Contemporary Music Centre, Ireland and New Music Dublin.
Principally funded by Culture Ireland and supported by IMRO.
